I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1987. I started taking photos in my senior college year, more as a hobby and thanks to the advent of platforms and communities in places like Flickr and Tumblr. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Software Systems Engineering, in 2009, my passion for film photography grew a lot more, and I ended up spending more time in darkrooms and shooting photos with friends and family.
I left Venezuela in 2015 and moved to Costa Rica for 2 years. Like more than 5 million Venezuelans who have moved abroad in the last 8 years, I left along with my wife (who was pregnant at that time) and my 2 year old kid to find better opportunities and a new beginning, although I left my film cameras behind. Two years later, I moved to United States, and I've been living in Texas since then.
A brief stint with an Olympus SLR in 2019 gave me hopes of going back to film photography, but it wasn't until 2022 until I got a P&S and decided that the more simple the process is, the better. It was all about shooting and enjoying the moment, without worrying about technical details. Much like it was for me back in 2009.
I also shoot digital, so I'll post some digital pics here as well.
Hope you enjoy this website, and thanks for stopping by.
